People often ask, “If I’m signing up for email, why do you ask for my address?” Sharing your address helps us in these ways:
- We can contact you about an action in or near your specific city or school district;
- When we meet with elected officials or other people with the power to make change happen, telling them the number of people in our digital community that live in their district or near their facility adds more power to what we are asking for. (But we never tell them your name.)
- When we do research for our Campaigns for Change, knowing where our digital community lives, helps us understand all the areas we should be looking at.
