Calls to Action

Advocacy Day in Lansing, April 29
Emergent Justice is a member of the Michigan Education Justice Coalition (MEJC). On April 29th we’ll be asking for the state government to adequately fund our schools and make key investments in 31a at risk funds, special education, student mental health, school facilities, and English Language Learners. We need parents, caregivers, students, and community members like you to make the case that our students are worth the investment.

Educate Your Legislators, now – late April
Our elected officials in Lansing need to know that education matters to the people who put them there — people like YOU. Sharing YOUR story is the best way to help them understand how their decisions about education funding impact real students, real families and real community members.
We’ve got resources to help you be successful.
